'99 25hp Johnson lower unit teardown

I am tearing down a 99 25 hp lower unit. I have the vertical shaft out, it just pulls free. I have the bearing carrier out. I have the snap ring out. I am stuck with the shift linkage assembly, the yoke and connector assembly. I believe this comes out somehow so that the reverse gear can be removed. This is the lower where the shift rod couples in the water intake. I just need to inspect the clutch dog.

Does the shift rod unscrew from the yoke and connector assembly? I know a manual would help but its quite a drive to put my hands on one.
