Got this email from a buddy of mine.

Hey Les,
Need some help I took my boat out twice this weekend, it starts great and runs open throtttle good, my problem is when I pull into a cove or get ready to leave it will idle fine for a while and then die like it is starving for gas. I pump the bulb and it runs good for a while and then the same thing, I can feel gas in the bulb but it is not hard. Any idea's? This is a carb motor.
Carbs rebuilt last year.

Any ideas guys?
Thanks

Could be a weak fuel pump or air leakage in the fuel supply system, SBN. My vote is a weak fuel pump.

He said he was going to change the bulb this weekend to see if that helped first since that was the cheapest.

Have him do the fuel pump to. The kit is about $10 and takes about 30 minutes if he hurries.
