98 tohatsu problem

It will crank up just fine and run without a miss but when you turn it off it is extremely hard to heritage cranked back up, any suggestions

We need the full model, in the format M40C or similar to really understand what motor you have. Year is unimportant.

It could be virtually anything, but I would start at one end(fuel tank) of the fuel system and work your way through to the other end(reeds).
