Been boating for a few years, just bought a used seadoo. Ran good for a day or two, but now it won't go over 2700 rpms. Is this a serious problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try the fuel valve on reserve? my buddy's 96' GTX had a problem like that, he found it worked by running on reserve.

No beeping and no overheating indication. What is limp mode?? It was running one day and the next morning I went out to ride it started rough and then would not go over 2700rpms. After a while it would idle ok and everything, just wouldn't go past 2700.

Limp mode is basically the computer on the ski thinks the motor is overheating so it will only let you limp home at 3000 RPMs. therefore Limp mode.
( usually a bad temp sensor or the wire going to the temp sensor is grounding somewhere ) check that with a meter)

the first thing you need to know is what the compression is in the cylinders,
