98 mercruiser 4.3 Webber 4 barrel dying

Like post says, motor will run hesitate, sputter , rev , then die.
Has electric fuel pump, put power to it it pumps every time, put a voltmeter on it and seems to have constant power while running.
Changed fuel water separator checked no water, checked check valve, pick up tube, clean no issues. A it honestly acts like float is stucking , but from what I heard is the webbers are floatless??
Carb or pump??

Just like any other carburetor with float, jets, needles and ports. Easy to clean anyway. Get a kit and go to rebuilding it.

Is rebuilding a weber carb something that i can do with very little knowledge on carbs in general?

Absolutely, thats the good thing about todays technology! Use your phone, take lots of pics of rods, linkages etc, really isn't much inside a carb, just pay attention, and follow the instructions in the kit!

Even better is follow the directions in the Mercruiser Service manual for your motor. It has detailed carb rebuild directions with pictures. The Weber is probably the easiest carb there is to work on.
