98 evinrude fuel problems

motor ran good,carbs loading up at idle.rebuilt carbs and now have to pump primer to keep from running out of fuel.I don't see or smell any fuel leaking.It runs/idles smooth until then.

Just replace filter with a glass one.What could I have done?It revs up and idles until it runs out of fuel.Help

You don't say what model you have but,have you checked the operation of the fuel pump?

check all fuel lines first..make sure you are not sucking air into the lines. Then The fuel pump sounds like your next thing...my money is on the fuel pump. Is it a VRO??

rebuilt carbs, float adjustment, pumping the bulb forces the needle open. or the vent not open on the fuel tank.

If a fuel line was sucking air,would it not leak when you pump up the fuel bulb?I will check the VRO.

Just pulled hose of the top of the VRO,turned motor over,very little fuel coming out.

you still have not posted the model..but if it is a VRO and it is not pumping fuel..then that sounds like the problem as your VRO is also your fuel pump.
