After cruising around the lake and pull back on the throttle, the rpm's stay high. Will only come back to normal if the motor is turned off and then restarted. Has anyone experienced a similar problem with the early ficht.

Throttle cable may have slop in it or the TPS is out of adjustment.

Throttle cable is good and replaced tps already? It's like it is getting a gulp of fuel or oil. I've put clear hoses on the vapour separator vent and the pulse lines to the fuel lift pump and oil lift pump. All are clear.

Has anyone had a similar problem. I think I will start with the oil lift pump as they have been known to have problems.

Just to follow up on a post from last summer. The problem with the high idle was indeed a ruptured diaphragm on the oil lift pump. replaced pump and motor ran great.:)
