97 yamaha wave raider 1100 oil question

My 97 jet ski smokes like crazy. no so much when going fast but when idling. It is almost embarrassing when pulling into a gas dock or around people. Seems to run great for two seasons now. I evan had a marina check it over and they said it looked fine. I do not know if they actually did much or not. I burn good yamaha synthetic oil in it. It also seems to really love the oil also. It there any adjustment to lean it out a little to cut down on the smoke? Any suggestions? Thanks Mark

Nothing really you can do about it. I had a raider 1100 ( same thing you got only its the two seater) and it smoked liek crazy also. the yamaha oil pumps on the 1100$ are not variable rate pumps so they dump oil in the motor the 1200s are variable rate. The only thing that made it better was going to premix and doing 50;1 ratio mix. I also went 40;1 when I wasnt running synthetic. otherwise youre gonna smoke a lot. if you ever take off the air hat youll see oil puddled on the lower part of the air box
