I have a 20' SeaOx Walkaround which I bought used last October with a 1997 Suzuki 225. The Marina that is working on it now says that my Power Tilt/Trim is not holding (It slowly bleeds down) and my only alternative is to replace the entire unit( motor, piston, valve body and all) for roughly $1000 although I can't seem to get a firm price or time frame.<br /><br />I guess my specific questions are <br /><br />1) Would it be dangerous/foolish to put the boat in w/o a working tilt/trim unit. I have trim tabs and the motor can be raised with the unit and the manual stands can hold it up.<br /><br />2) Does it sound reasonable that there is no way to repair the valve body without pulling the motor off and replacing the entire unit.<br /><br />3) Does the tilt/trim unit play any role in locking the motor down when the motor is put in gear forward/reverse?
