97 seadoo gsx start/key issue?

97 seadoo gsx 800. Put the key in place, no beep or any response signalling contact with the controller.

Ideas?

try cleaning the contact points with rubbing alch. and a qtip if that doesnt work may have a bad key or mpem took a crap may be easyest to take to a shop id find a aftermarket shop with a scaner will be cheaper then a seadoo dealer

I had the same issue, I hope its not to late =), 7 out of 10 times the dess post goes bad!!. If you are just replacing the dess post you will not need to have the key re programed =). If you jumped the battery and touched the negative and the positive it will cause a 7.5 fuse to go bad in the mpem <that will also cause the issue your having now
