97 seadoo compression confused

97 gs new pistons and rings first put in got 149 lbs compression
now week later 1 cylinder same an other 130 lbs what could of went wrong

Were you at WOT while it was cranking over? The best consistant results, spray a little fogging oil in each cyclinder, hold at WOT while cranking and you should get consistant numbers. As you put hours on your ski the compression should increase slightly as the rings seat.

BENTLEY did what you said and got 151# in 1 cylinder and 152# in the other thanks for input not worried much now
