97 mariner 50hp mecury/mariner or yamaha

I recently purvhased a 1997 mariner 50hpif fourstroke.the data tag is not legible and i want to know how to tell what manufacturer built this motor so i can try to buy a manual to use for rebuilding.this motor was ran without oil so i will need a manual that is detailed enough for crank and piston removal.any help is greatly appreciated.

Roostmaker99@yahoo.com the only number i have is the one that is on the soft plug or freeze plug on the powerhead. It is og231382
