97' Kawasaki 1100... Run on trailer?

Just bought a used 97' kaw 1100 stx. Own 2 boats but am new to pwc. Can you run a pwc on muffs ( or something) like you do a boat? Have also noticed that this thing uses a ton of gas, 14gals in about 2-2.5 hours. Is this normal for this machine? BTW, where is the best place to order a maint. manual for this unit?

2 stroke skies use a lot of gas, I just did a test on my sea doo gtx 4 tec and was surprised that it gets 6 miles per gallon running at 45 mph, but wide open it will use quite a bit more as for being new to skies I have a post on another site that is way too long to repeat,
