Today I was out in the lake. after running around for 20 30 minutes I decided to take the cover out and look around. When I removed the top cover I saw some water droplets on the engine mostly the lower parts, some water droplets on the carbs, its like someone hosed it down for a quick second. Is this normal? I know the base cover has open edges where water can go in. but how much is too much? I know while the engine is turning at 5000rpm its sucking in a lot of those water drops. Does this happen to everybody? cover seals are good and they are not leaking, they are still soft and very fat. So I think water is coming in from the bottom of the base. Does anyone have any ideas how to stop this? or a wet engine is pretty normal? I ve been boating for 2 weeks now and very new to this things.
