I recently acquired a '96 Regal Commodore 292. It is in great condition. I have owned several boats. This is my first cruiser. I have all the original manuals but they are weak to say the least. I'm looking for complete info on the head operation, pump-out method, AC operation, generator, winterizing requirements, etc....anything that is not found on a bow rider. I've not gotten much help from Regal. Ideally I'd like to find "Cabin Cruisers and Their Amenities for Dummies" but I don't think it's available. I have generator complete manufacture manual but not Regal install info. I have electric head manual but no Regal info on plumbing.( i have no water to head at the moment) What are good sources for the info I am in need of?

Do you know if these 'manual's for the boat actually exist? Often they do not.

I felt fortunate to get the manufacturer's original manual for my Formula 330. However, it consisted of some safety and navigational information, along with the User manual for the engines, radio, and water heater. Only a couple of Formula specific drawings about plumbing and electrical routes.

And yes, "Cabin Cruisers and Their Amenities for Dummies" did sell out recently :D

a boat "manual" is usually a 4 page safety pamphlet that says the pointy end is the bow, the wheel thingy is how you steer and the flat end with the propeller is the stern. then it provides a list of servicing dealers.

the engine/drive manual and the stereo manual are the only true manuals that would have been provided.

However you can call regal's customer service if needed.
