'96 Binnacle control mounting template

Life would be easier if I could find a template for the cutout I need to make to install a '96 OMC single handle binnacle mount remote control. I cant find my old rigging books and I think the template came with the control anyway.

take a piece of paper, cut it out to fit around the binnacle crap that goes thru the gunwale, take a pencil and mark where the mounting holes are, poke a hole in the center of each of the mounting holes. now take that same piece of paper, flip it over, place on your gunwale where you want to mount it, and there is your template
