I have a 96 50hp Johson J50TLED, I used to get roughly 20MPH on my 22ft Pontoon boat with this motor but it idled a bit rough. I brought it to the local dealer last spring who said a Link and Synch should fix it, they did the work but now I have no top end. My RPMS top out around 4500, should be around 5500, right? It almost feels / souds like I should be able to push the throttle forward more. I looked at the "butterflies" on the carb when the throttle is wide open and they are horizontal. Anyone run into this before? Any suggestions? I had the top end before just a rough idle, so I know it isnt a prop issue. Thanks
