I am currently running a 14.5x21 prop and can turm 6500rpm with the motor trimmed up a bit. I have a 21 open fish Paramount and am told thats too many rpms. How much pitch can I get to lower this yet still have or raise performance?

------------------
Kris

RPM ON THIS ENGINE IS 5000 TO 6000. RULE OF THUMB IS FOR EVERY PITCH YOU WILL CHANGE RPM ABOUT 300 RPM'S SO YOU TO GO UP IN PITCH TO A 24 PITCH PROP THIS WILL BRING RPM'S DOWN TO 5800 TO 5900. YOU NEED TO TEST THIS WITH THE BOAT EMPTY OF TACKLE ETC. PROP IT TO THE HIGH SIDE BECAUSE WHEN YOU LOAD BOAT THE RPM'S WILL DROP I WOULD SUGGEST A FOUR BLADE RENAGADE OR THREE BLADE RAKER BETTER HOLE SHOT WITH 4 BLADE BETTER SPEED 3 BLADE
