951 into 96 xp hull?? Has it been done? sea doo

hi,

I have a sea doo 96 xp hull that I wan to make a project out of. I thought it would be fun to try to fit the 951 motor in it. Has anyone done it or know if it will work? What kind of problems will i run into?

I plan on buying the motor, pump, and electrical for a 951.

So far i have found that the motor mounts and brackets are the same for the 787(which is the motor the xp hull i have had in it) and the 951.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it can be done but the front mount is different 787/800 is on the left side and the 951 is on the right.You will have to work out the exhuast i think you have to have an aftermarket exhuast.The pumps are different as well. Try going to seadoo.net or pwctoday.com .. There are people on them forums that have done the swap and can help you better ....I am in the process of doing the same thing
