95 Yamaha Waverunner Won't Crank!

Its a 700 CC Turned it on cranked once then stopped, starter rocks engine. Not sure if it is the engine or proplusion unit locked. What do you think, fixable? It does have a new battery.

remove plugs and turn engine by hand see if it is locked up did you turn on the water before trying to start it? if so you may have filled the crank case with water.

Did that and couldn't turn by hand. Didn't seem to have any water. Thinking about taking apart??

Did you have it on the hose before you started it? I think Jeff is suggesting you may have hydro-locked it. Pull the plugs and see if it will turn over. If not, check battery and make sure terminals are getting good metal to metal contact. Do the easy stuff before you tear into it

the pump may have locked up, try removing it from the ski and see if the engine cranks with the pump removed first
