I recently fell into a 1995 sun tracker bass buggy 18 pontoon. I've always been a bass boat guy so this is a new world to me. My son decided this would be a fun project to take on. Little does he know this is always a slipper slope. Anyway, On the front of each log there is a hole on the top on each side. It is not threaded nor was there any plug in the hole. Does anyone know if this is a vent hole of some sort? Is this something in the design from sun tracker? The hole is under the deck (which has not been replaced) so I don't see how someone could have drilled these in the tops of the logs and they looked milled or done in the factory. Any help on this would be appreciated.

The tapped hole should have a fitting in it, and have a tube that faces down to prevent water getting in. easy to to by going to your local hardware store and getting the right fittings.
