Re: 95 SeaDoo GTX-Gas Light

common problem the float has become heavy and will no longer float so it signals the computer, you can't get just a float so that means you have to replace the entire sending unit and that is expensive,, if you unplug the little wire harness at the sending unit and make a jumper wire to conect the two wires in the plug on the end that feeds from the computer it will make your fuel gauge read full all the time but the stupid red light will go off. you are probably looking at the fuel tank when you want to know what is in it so you can continue to check your fuel level in that manner if you jump the sending unit plug. another way to do that is to slide the float to the top after you pull the sending unit from the tank and insert a stainless screw below the float so it stays at the top of the circut board, but this is a lot of work just to turn off the light.

like I said jump the wires, if you look at the center of the tank there is a place where all the hoses go in, there is a small wire plug thet conects to the wires for the sending unit, unplug it and make a small jumper wire from on side to the other then wrap it with electrical tape and then just leave it unplugged the computer will think the tank is full and turn off the light

You could try and just replace the float Parker Yamaha sells them.

All you have to do is pull the sending unit, remove the screen the float comes right out put the new one in.

all my efforts to buy just a float in my area have always ended up the same// I get told they are not available seperately and they try to sell me the entire sending unit etc, I end up repairing the floats but I didn't want to go in to that since she just wants the red light to go off.
