i was out on the water this summer and there was a noise in the motor and it would not start back so i thought it was the spark plug so i pulled those out and on one the sparks plugs was bent like the piston hit it so i put 3 news in and started up but not i will not hit a lick. when i took the cap off and the piston looked pretty bad. so does anyone know what i should do first before i spend alot of money out on this ski? thanks

on the broke spark plug was just the tip of it...would a 650 jug, head and piston work on a 750 ski? thanks

unless you put in the plugs without the gasket ring on them and the plugs went too far in the hole,, you have a bad rod bearing and the engine will need to be rebuilt.
to check on the connecting rods,, remove the spark plugs,, rotate the engine by hand and look in the plug holes for the piston to come up to top dead center, when you see the piston start to go down after it reaches t d c use a screwdriver and push on the top of the piston if it clunks it means there is free play in the rod bearings, if you keep trying to run it the rod will come through the block eventually.

I told you how to check the rod bearing play. as for the plug look and see if the plug has the round washer looking thing on it

your piston hit the spark plug,, starter has nothing to do with that.
