95 Mercruiser 5.0 wont start. No power to gauges or trim. Battery seems ok and checked Red fuse button on motor. The only thing that works is the bilge pump. No horn, wipers, lights, gauges etc. Please help. Thanks.
engine serial number would help. What is the battery seems ok? Load checked or specific gravity check for bad or weak cells? Cables been removed and cleaned shiny at both ends...battery switch (can't remember the name) turned to a good battery? Grab a meter and work your way to the starter. There is a fuse there as well. Could be further up the line but since it is all dead, I would check battery connections/cables and starter connections.
Got the boat started. Battery seemed to be too weak. Charged overnite...seems like that was the problem...Thanks for all your help and all the good things you do, for all of us boaters.
