My '95 70HP Johnson will not idle, however it runs great given throttle. I have bought a manual and it states that this problem is a classic symptom of a leak in the lower piston ring of the crankcase, resulting in lost compression. Any advise from anyone on how to test and fix this problem. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
