Went out tonight and switched tanks from aux to main before I started the engines.

Idled away from the dock ~1/4 mile and started to throttle-up when alarm sounded…..backed off the throttle and alarm went away…..throttled-up again and alarm came back then went way.

Was fine for the next hour running ~4K RPM.

Thinking it was due to air in then lines.

Any opinions?

Which alarm? Steady beep or beep-beep-beep. Overheat is a steady beep. Lack of oil or no oil from injection system triggers a beep-beep-beep pattern depending on the failure.

Don't know how long a "short lived beep is". A steady beep for any duration is over temperature (overheat) alarm. If it happens only at full throttle or near full throttle, the thermostat may not be bypassing. Or it may be the water pump impeller needs changing or it may mean there is a cooling system obstruction.

Does that motor have the "Check Engine" alarm? If so, I would look for a fuel restriction in the gasoline supply.

Fuel restriction and or vacuum leak.

Had the same issue a number of times. Always happen when it got rough and less 1/4 tank of fuel

Replaced fuel lines (tanks to bulb) anti-syphon valves and fuel selector valve/switch and problem went away
