95 donzi jet boat

I've had a 95 donzi 16' jet boat at a marine shop for the past 18 months. It has a 90hp mercury sport jet inboard. They said I needed a new stator, cdi and major tune up with a price of 1500.00 I gave them 750.00 down. They never did anything to the boat- no gas stabilizer, no winterize, no nothing. Now (Dec. 2004) they refuse to do the work and refuse to refund my 750.00 deposit. I'm wondering if they are apprehensive to do anything at this point because of their neglect over the past 18 months. I wonder if they know something I don't and are afrid to say it.

I don't know that they should keep all of your $750,but you evidently gave them a motor that did not run.They probably waited for the other $750 to be able to make the motor run.You didn't pay it.They couldn't make it run,without it.<br />Why do you think they should have done the stabilize winterize etc?<br />The motor has to be running to do this.<br /><br />DHP
