Hi all - this is a problem that is now solved, but I thought I would post it up for people - might help someone. My old girl is a great motor that has never let me down. Recently though she would not rev over 1100rpm without choking up and stalling. Turned out to be the timing advance unit under the flywheel had seized up and I was getting increased fuel only and no increase in advance on take off...a clean up and back together and it goes like a new one! .Cheers all
