Good day to all...
I am lookimg to purchase my first boat and right now im considering between 94' wellcraft martinque and a 94' searay express crusier both boats are clean units....which well be the betterr boat In terms of ride and quality.......

I'm with Bondo - those pretty big bulls for the first ride at the rodeo :D Do you have some experience with boats and just haven't owned one before?

Ai have 2 years experience. I figured bigger was better then I wouldnt I have to sell and get another as quickly.

Hire a surveyor and find out which one is the better deal. The ride will be similiar,so its more about the layout that suits you. Good for you,go big or go home,don't be imtiminated by the size,after a few trips it will feel like second nature.Good luck !

At this point in their lives the real issue will be how was a 20 year old boat cared for. Both are nice boats but both could be a real money pit. Hire a surveyor.

I was thinking go big too...I was instructed to get an insurance survey for the boat. So thats the plan.

They will be similar boats. As others have said of this age condition is everything vs brand. What type of power and drives do they have? That may be a factor.

As for layout check for things like which one is easier to get into the cabin, get to the bow, easier to board.
