94 Waverunner Problem

A friend of mine has 94 waverunner and was having problems with the carb leaning out last yr, it would only run with the choke half out. This year I got a kit and took the carb apart and cleaned it real good. Now it acts like it way to rich, smokes a lot and seems to run on 1 cyl. I am not very familiar with the type of carb on it and would really appreciate if somebody could give me a clue on what I should look for. I tried adjusting both needle valves and neither has any affect. I dont really know what to do with that type of carb to lean it down.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Re: 94 Waverunner Problem

probably have the tang adjusted too high on the needle and seat flooding the carb,, look in the carb with the air box removed and see if gas is dripping down the throat of the carb while it is running,, basically the carbs must be done correctly and if you are not familiar with them you should let someone do it that is familiar with them .
