94 Waveraider 701

I just bought a 94 yamaha waveraider "purple hull" and I am impressed with how much power that thing has for only a 701. It is a bit hairy on handling but as far as power and fuel economy yamaha had the right idea back in 94. Does anybody have any experiences with the waveraider and if so what are some minor mods I can do to it? Thanks

I can take care of your handling problem , that's what I do, as for the engines they are pretty reliable just leave it alone and don't mess with it.

That must be a pretty good ski. Loads of them still around where here in NJ. My old Yamaha 500 was well designed, and really never needed much considering its age and the ammount of abuse it saw over the years.

Any leads on a QSTS handle assy. for the waveraider? How can I increase handling?

How well do those cobra jet steering things work, because i have a 1993 pro vrx and it is also not great at handling but has alot of power. Do these nozzles add any performance?
