I bought a boat with sport jet 90 and it did not start. I put on a new switch box and it started right up and ran for a while and then died. I looked at the carps and cleaned then as they were blocked where the clear tubing cam out of the carb. It started right up and ran for a while. I turned it off and then turned it on again and it ran for awhile and then quit. i put a new switch box on again and it ran but i could not rev up the engile and then it quit again and will not start again. I tested the trigger leads and the all came in an 1.2k ohms. I also tested the stator and it read 480 to 520m ohms. I order a new stator, trigger since i have to put the flywheel off any ways, switch box and voltage regulator. this weekend i will pull of the flywheel and look at the magnets. Any ideas, or should i do a complete rework?

Let's try this in the Merc OB forum as they share components . . . Good luck!

If the switcboxes keep failing check the key switch as if you have any voltage on the blk/yellow wire it will damage pack..

Thanks I will try that but I do have that wire removed from the switch so it should be open to the switch box
