After launching boat, engine will overheat. Eventually will cool down and run great all day. Ran the engine
with rabbit ears and same scenario. Water going into outdrive but not coming out. After about a half hour messing
around, water started running out of outdrive and motor was cool and ran great the rest of the day. I removed the therm but no change. Has fairly new impelller but did this with the old impeller. Engine has been out for haul repair but did this prior. Has new lower unit but again did this prior. Same outdrive as a 94 Volvo Penta SX.
