Have a 94 Johnson 150. Having a problem with fuel getting to the engine at slow speeds. The ball keeps going soft and the engine will die if you dont go back and pump the ball. Once the boat gets going never seems to be a problem. Just replace the fuel pump with a used one and having the same problem. Was thinking of replacing the ball and running some cleaner through the engine. But would like other suggestions.

Lobster seasons almost here and need this fixed!!!

Thanks!

You may have a bad used fuel pump. It's happened before.

Exactly same as my evinrude 140, air leak I could not seem to pin down so I replaced whole fuel line including fasteners. Runs ok again.

Gonna replace the lines tonight. put on a new ball but didn't have very good zip ties, ran worse. Might be a good thing gonna replace all the lines after the filter and use hose clamps. Hope it works! Trying to avoid having to find another fuel pump new one cost the same as the value of the motor.

Thanks
