My father just bought a 94 bass tracker, 16 footer. We can't believe how heavy the bow is. I can lift it? Is there something we are missing? I own a 17 1/2 sportsman bluefin and I can pick it up no problem. We are wondering if water can build up in the bow and not come down to the bilge or something. Anything would help. Thanks

I could very eell be waterlogged.

Does this boat have livewells in the front?

They can spring a leak and fill the bilge with water.

Maybe it is sitting too far foward on the trailer, you can try moving the winch back some to change the balance. If you get it too light the trailer will tend to fish-tail at high speeds.

James like the other two I'm assuming your trying to lift the boat trailer tounge. (with boat on it)
With that size boat it almost has to be either water in the bow or set up wronge on the trailer.

You might try jacking up the tounge with drain plug out and see if any water comes out or if you hear water moving.

Let us know what you find

Link

Thanks guys, the live well is located on the side of the boat. I'm sorry if my message was confusing. I wasn't talking about it being heavy on the trailer. I meant in the water. If I am pushing it off the shore or lifting it up on shore while I am getting the trailer, it seems impossible to lift. I am going to try to jack it up and see if there is lots of water in there.
