Hello,
I'm considering buying a used Sea Ray 180 outboard with a 135 Merc; it's a one-owner boat used in fresh water only and stored inside during the winter months. If anyone knows if the floor or any other parts were made of wood during that year (or anything else I should check for) I'd appreciate the help. Thanks!!

sounds good, you will have to check for wood rott yourself, check the transom by shaking the motor a bit too see how much play is on the transom (i know that sounds funny) ..... if it is like a bouncy ball, leave it, but by the souns of it, seem slike a good deal .... good luck

Re: '94 180 Outboard

Hi,
Still may purchase this boat. The owner, a friend of mine, decided to hang onto it a couple more years. They're now considering replacing it, and I'm still interested. My question today is this: Is this boat new enough that the fuel system (built-in tank, lines etc.) are ethanol-resistant, or would I need to make changes? Thanks for the help. It's a 1994 180 with a 135 Merc outboard.
