Re: 93 Ford Taurus stalls at any speed
I had an '87 Sable station wagon that had this exact problem years back. It was a bad connection at the ignition switch in the steering column. (plug had partially unplugged from the key switch). I finally figured it out by realizing that it seemed to happen more after gas stops on road trips... Was because I'd adjust the tilt on the wheel when getting in/out of the car. Once I realized this, I could make the problem happen at will by manipulating the steering wheel tilt. (tilting it down all the way)
It was an easy fix... open up steering column, plug wiring onto switch propertly, free up a bit of slack to so it wouldn't pull when activating the tilt. I was worried it might have been a cracked wire in the steering column, but it was only a partially unplugged connector.
Anyway, something for you to consider. By the way, no it's not fun having a car intermittently stall on the interstate at 70+ mph...
Good luck.
