93 Force 70 HP line from impeller housing?

Have a rubber 1/4" hose coming out of the lower case tie wrapped back. What is the purpose of this. Nothing in owners manual, nothing in shop manual.

It's an antiquated and basically useless pressure tube for an old style speedometer, that didn't work very well when it was functional.

Thanks for the info.
It broke off where it exits the lower casing. Won't worry about it now.
