During take off it seems to load up.About half way through plane it cleans up and runs great to nearly half throttle. At full throttle it seems to "lose" a little torque but when you back off it picks back up. I have installed new spark plugs per everyones advise here a while back.
I purchased Seafoam deep creep yesterday, will that help with this problem? It does seem to load up quite a bit when idling and it idles a bit rough. I thought at first it was bad gas but I have since burnt 2 tanks. it does run better the harder its ran and will eventually clean up if ran WOT but I cant afford to run this thing WOT all the time.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello

If I mite throw in my two cents. Have you checked the timeing and how are those carbs. I can't tell you how many times i've read in this forum to check the carbs. Seams a little junk in the carbs can make it run bad or not at all.

I my self have just heard about this decarbing the engine. I am planing on trying this. Please let me know how it works.

I also read to check all those fuel lines and make sure the bulb is working good.

Have you tried a portable tank.

Well I hope I helped.

I have not checked the timing yet. Of course I purchased this boat during the busy time of the year and the local service shop cant get me in for 3 weeks. I do not have a problem with most repairs but not ever working on a motor like this I would rather not make an error. I suspect the carbs need rebuilt that is why I was wondering about the Seafoam. The guy I purchased the boat from told me that it has a rebuilt power head because the oiler quit working. I beleive him because it does not have the oiler on it anymore and when I replaced the plugs the pistons were shiny as new, all of them. I have done a compression test and everything is fine there. The bulb seems to be fine. It pumps up good and does not collapse during use. As far as a portable tank no I have not tried that. I did drain replace the fuel that was in the built in tank though.

Well before I would go paying a shop to check it out I would try a portable tank and mabe try to rebuild those carbs.

I have a 115 hp johnson and I am by no means an expert. I have rebuilt my carbs. I had a machanic check my work and he said perfect. It was simple to do. I don't know what year or model or horse power you have but if you like to save a little money its a place to start.
