probably either a bad main ground wire from the battery to the engine block, or a bad ground to the brain coil box. also see if the lanyard kill switch is shorting out, some of the caps get worn and allow the contacts to just barely short with the cap on and that switch grounds out the coil, try holding the button down with your finger and see if you get spark if so replace the little cap at the end of your lanyard.
