I have a 92 115 2+2. Engine was running rough carbs clean. Had a red stator with the adapter. Installed a standard stator no adapter, new trigger and switch box. Engine started up, but idle changed with new parts, I raised it thru the cable, but seems to high out of water 2.1k rpms. When changing stator does it need adapter or is there something else like timing to be adjusted? Does stator rotation matter on this motor? On water once and would not come off idle without bogging, then realized a bad fuel bulb, so water test soon
