for some reason the engine its not getting enogh fuel. well mesing around i noticed you need a good closed/sealed system in the fuel tank so the carb can make a vacuum in there and draw more fuel right? i took the carb apart and everything was pretty much nice and clean.

i'm not familiar with 2 stroke engines but for what i can see its no science!

also, starting it on dry land do you turn the water on then start, then shut it down water off, like an outboard? thanks all

question: what causes the needle valve to open and let fuel go to the jets?
my guess would be fuel preassure but then you got your regulator diaphram pushing the needle valve arm and then it gets complicated.
anybody more knowledgable...its a simple keihin cdk II carb.

the diaphragm uses vacume to press on the arm to open the needle, any tiny hole or a bad seal on that and the engine will run lean at high speed.
