I have a 92 Merc. 60 HP O/B. Every time I tried to throttle up the boat would pickup speed, then all the sudden the engine rpm shot up and all forward motion stopped. The boat ran fine in the morning and just started doing this on the return trip. I was able to get the boat back to the ramp at idle speed and everything appeared normal when I got the boat back on the trailer. Any suggestions?
