91 Yamaha 650 Ski

hey folks:

Just picked up a free 91 yamaha VXR 650 ski from a guy that sold his lakehouse. the ski looks really good and has no hull cracks. I floated it off his buddies trailer and put it on mine yesterday. The throttle lever is broken so i am going to order that part put i wanted to make sure the ski will crank before i spend the $50 on the part. I do not see a place to hook a hose up. Can someone walk me through the process? Thanks!

Sounds like it does not have a flush attachment installed. You could just back the trailer with the ski mostly in water and fire it up, but make sure its tied down at the front. You can buy the flush kit at a motorsports shop, just tell them what ski you need it for. The 650 is almost the same as a 701 and the flush kit connects to one side of the head.
