91 tohatsu 40d trim unit removal

Does 1-2 of the motor mounts have to be taken off<br />boat transom to remove trim assembly or is the bottom<br />bolt on my tilt assembly just tight??? Also , what is the<br />approx 1" plug at bottom of hydraulic assembly??<br />Piston barely/rarely works in either direction so<br />guess i need unit off. Thanks alot for any help

Elvin... Thanks for the offer but I have the Clymer<br />service manual for the motor and somehow they left<br />out the removal of the bottom bolt. They do have listed the old style where the bolt comes out without bracket/motor removal but the bolt in my<br />unit is different. Do you have same book??<br />Thanks
