'91 mercury 75 hp , decent motor?

Besides the normal things to check, compression, lower unit fluid, ect, are these decent motors? Any major problems with this yr or model? They say it just had all the oil/fuel lines replaced and runs good. What are your opinions on this motor? Thanks

The 3 cylinder looper Mercs have a good reputation, but just be aware that some of them (mostly the higher horsepower, 90s) do exhibit a 'rough' idle. Once they hit about 2000rpm they smooth right out. My brother has one (90hp) and he says that the rough idle is more than made up for with the rest of the performance and reliability... He replaced an older in-line 6 90hp with the 3 pot, and couldn't believe how little fuel it used.
