I have performed all the tests (ohms, dva) to determine the stator is bad on my Mariner 75 sn:0c266723
I am looking to order a used one from ebay but not sure which one I should get. The parts list says the correct one is 9710A30 but I accidentally rubbed the numbers off the bad stator so not sure. It has 1 red, 1 blue, 1 blk, and 2 yellow wires. Can I replace it with 9710A14 for example or 9710A23? Or should I just stick with 9710A30?

Re: 91 Mariner 75 stator compatibility

The A numbers are just revision numbers to the basic 9710 series number. 9710 identifies it as a 16 amp stator, which is the red stator and is for engines with a voltage regulator.

Note that 9710 is the CDI P/N and the one in the bulletin, 832075A5 is the Mercury number, but both the same stators.
