I think my trim motor has failed. Relays click on but motor doesn't activate. Motor very, very rusted...rest of hydraiulic system rust free.

Doesn't appear to be a big deal to remove existing motor and the part is not very expensive.

Should I tackle this repair myself. I am a decent mechanic.

Any step by step suggestions....I'll take 'em.

Replacing the trim motor is easy. The only thing I would be worried about is if water got in through the rusted housing and corroded anything. Mine was run in salt water for a few years like that and I brought it back to life and I have zero experience working on boats/engines. Just had to clean everything up, scrub the rust off, etc.
