Hey guys,
I recently bought a 91 force 90 horse and had ran it several times pulling tubes and fishing and it ran great and ran at WOT great. I then did a few minor modification to the boat like moving the gas tank to the front of the boat so i put in a longer fuel line. i just changed to fuel so i know that was good. last weekend i took it out and about 10 or 15 minutes in, at WOT the engine started to smoke and lost all power and died. i took the cover off and it smelt like burning rubber. after the smoke settled i tried to start it again and it stared up and idled. i went back i felt water shooting out the cooling jets and after a minute or two of idling it chugged a little and died. it didn't start up again. it still turns over and sounds like i t wants to run by spitting and sputtering but it just wont idle. i am going out to check compression and stuff today so i will add to the post later.
