Hey everyone, I was given a 91evinrude 60hp vro from my uncle which he got from someone awhile ago. I’m unaware if it runs, but seems in good condition. I was told that he had filled the cylinders full of oil for some reason, I was not very happy to hear about that. Could possibly be due to it being sitting in his yard. I finally got the motor up on a mount and noticed that it is very easy to spin the motor by hand. I need to drain the oil before trying to start but might this have caused the easy rotation that I’m getting?

thanks

Yes. It looks fine but I’m just hoping it’s something else besides a head gasket or something

What does " very easy " mean ?----How does it crank with the starter motor ?

I mean I can turn the flywheel without encountering any compression bumps at all. I have yet to start it. Need to flush the oil out.
